Imlay House is an aged care facility in Merigan St Pambula situated directly below Pambula Hospital. It is a welcoming and tranquil home with professionally qualified staff who aim for excellence in their provision of care. Some of the services we provide: Accommodation and nursing care is provided for frail aged people. Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours/day. Safe and secure dementia specific accommodation and care is provided. Residential Respite Care is available. Professional Palliative Care provides comfort and compassion for residents and their families. Local doctors visit regularly. A physiotherapist aromatherapist and podiatrist visit regularly at no cost to residents. Reverse cycle air conditioning is installed in each resident’s room for individual comfort. A telephone is available in each resident’s room at a cost of $22 per month plus calls. Large screen television sets are available in lounge areas. All residents’ rooms have a garden outlook. Residents have a productive vegetable garden. A 9 bed wing offers a higher standard of accommodation and hospitality services for residents who choose this option. All meals are prepared in our kitchen by a qualified chef and all dietary needs are catered for. Full laundry services are provided Monday - Friday at no additional cost. A qualified Diversional Therapist directs a varied lifestyle program including activities and outings to meet residents' needs and interests. A hairdresser is available weekly at residents’ expense. The Community Visitors Scheme provides volunteers to visit individual residents who wish to participate. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable time and are invited to join residents for meals at a small cost.
