Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Churches Of Christ Care Arcadia Aged Care Service in Essendon, VIC 3040 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Located in Essendon, next to parkland, Arcadia offers city views and the convenience of a tram stop at the front door. We provide respite, permanent and dementia care in single rooms for people needing hostel and nursing home care. Arcadia Aged Care Service is co-located with Churches of Christ Care Arcadia Apartments, Essendon.

Nursing home and hostel accommodation

Residents at Arcadia Aged Care Service have their own private room with ensuite facilities. These rooms have individually controlled airconditioning, 24 hour call system and either Parkland or City views. A high level of care is provided in a Christian environment for seniors needing 24 hour nursing care.

We offer an extensive range of care and related services including physio and speech therapy, podiatry, doctors-of-choice and visiting dentists, as well as audiologists and optometrists. A full activities program is offered to residents including a visiting qualified music therapist. All meals are planned by a Dietitian prepared in our commercial grade kitchen, on site. Pastoral care is offered through our chaplain(s) and volunteers. Hairdressing, and podiatry services are available. A laundry service is available for resident's use.

Short term respite accommodation

Short term respite accommodation is available at Aracadia Aged Care service. Residential respite supports people in a comfortable and friendly environment, with trained staff on hand to assist as needed. It provides a person the opportunity to participate in activities, and to develop friendships and maintain interests.

Being short term, residential respite allows people to remain in their own local community for most of the time.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks if extra assistance is needed our staff are available to help with showering , personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short term illness.
