Cadorna House is a family orientated home for the aged, located at 91a Cormiston Road, Riverside Tasmania. Situated within the grounds of the Cormiston Retirement Village, our location overlooks the Tamar Valley and offers residents magnificent views of the river and mountains. Being a small, privately-owned aged care facility with qualified and dedicated staff and management, we pride ourselves on offering a personalised and welcoming homelike environment for only 33 residents. The boutique style accommodation which our home provides ensures each resident is cared for to the highest of standards. All our staff share the same commitment to delivering premium, individually-focussed aged care, based on an intimate knowledge of each resident’s personal requirements. The home is in close proximity to many services including a Medical Centre, pharmacy, supermarket, hotel and community centre, and is only 10 minutes from the Launceston CBD with public transport easily accessible. Residents of Cadorna House are encouraged and supported to be involved in all aspects of decision making regarding their residential care, as well as to maintain their independence and involvement in community and social activities. By offering a comprehensive range of care options, the concept of “ageing in place” removes the need for any subsequent move to another facility. Cadorna House is equipped to provide responsive and flexible care in line with each individual resident’s changing care needs, aiming to allow residents to age in place in his/her own room, with all necessary care and services brought to the resident. All rooms are fitted with high quality furniture, electronic beds and quality bedding including pressure relieving mattress. Many rooms also offer stunning views of the river and mountains.
